# Index and UMI information for the Illumina miRNA prep kit

**What are the sequences of the indexes?**

* This kit uses indexes that are unique to this library prep kit: Illumina miRNA UD Indexes. Sequences can be found in the [Adapter Sequences Document](https://support.illumina.com/downloads/illumina-adapter-sequences-document-1000000002694.html). Illumina sells 4 x 96 plates: A, B, C, D.
* Note: Other Illumina index sets, including the Illumina DNA/RNA UD Indexes (v3) indexes, are not compatible with the Illumina miRNA library prep kit.

**Are the UMI random? If not, are the sequences available?**

* UMIs are random, therefore sequences are not provided.
