# Are the Illumina RNA Index Anchors the same in every well of the plate?

The Illumina RNA Index Anchors plate (reference number 20040899) is included with the Illumina RNA UD Indexes, Ligation (96 Indexes, 96 Samples) (reference numbers 20091655 (Set A), 20091657 (Set B), 20091659 (Set C), 20091661 (Set D)) for use with Illumina Stranded Total RNA Prep and Illumina Stranded mRNA Prep Kits.

* Each well of the anchor plate is single-use and contains RNA Index Anchors.
* All anchor plate wells contain the same reagent and can be used in any order. (All the wells are the same.)
* The well positions used in the RNA Index Anchor plate do not need to match the index primer well positions used in the index plate.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://knowledge.illumina.com/library-preparation/general/library-preparation-general-faq-list/000005793.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
