Is the Illumina Tagment DNA (Nextera) enzyme, TDE1, pre-loaded with oligos?

The Illumina transposase enzymes function by inserting a piece of DNA at the site that is cleaved/fragmented by the enzyme in a process called tagmentation.

The transposase enzyme in complex with the piece of DNA that will be inserted is referred to as a transposome.

All Illumina tagmentation-based library prep kits (including Illumina Tagment DNA TDE1 Enzyme and Buffer Kits) come with transposase that is pre-loaded with partial adapter sequences.

The sequences of the pre-loaded adapters are provided in the Illumina Adapter Sequences Document in the Nextera Transposase Adapters section:
