Consumables and Equipment FAQ for the TruPath Genome assay
What is included in each order? Is the analysis included with the product?
There will be 2 catalog numbers (2 sample C2 kit and 8 sample C8 kit), containing library prep reagents, sequencing core consumables for NovaSeq X, and the DRAGEN license. The cost of compute is not included. If using a local DRAGEN server there is no additional cost of compute, but if using DRAGEN in an Illumina cloud, there will be an additional compute cost.
DRAGEN secondary analysis will be included with the product purchase.
What is the shipping temperature of the different boxes in the TruPath reagent kits?
Shipping temperature:
TruPath Assay reagents: -25°C to -15°C
NovaSeq X series reagents: All kit components are shipped at ambient temperature, and have been qualified to remain at ambient temperature for up to 10 days during shipment.
Storage temperature:
TruPath Assay reagents: -25°C to -15°C
Reagent Cartridge: -25°C to -15°C
Lyo insert: -25°C to -15°C
Flow cell: 2-8°C
Buffer cartridge: Room Temperature
Library strip tube: Room Temperature
Is there any third-party equipment needed?
Yes--the equipment and consumables required for any DNA extraction kits, including high molecular weight (HMW) DNA extraction (third party kits) and and DNA QC/quantification, dsDNA Qubit kit to quantify DNA, Agilent gDNA ScreenTape assayor Agilent Femto Pulse gDNA 165 kb kitfor DNA input QC. The following lab consumables are also needed: RNase/DNase-free water, single-channel pipettes (20 µl, 200 µl, and 1 or 5 ml), wide-bore 20 µl and 200 µl pipette tips, and standard bore 20 µl and 200 µl pipette tips. Consult the full list of required User-Supplied Consumables and Equipment found in the Product Documentation.
Which pipette tips can be used during TruPath workflow?
Wide bore tips are recommended for mixing HMW DNA prior to preparing the sample and for mixing the final DNA mix. If these are not available, pipette slowly using a P200 tip. Standard tips are suitable for the remaining workflow, such as transferring DNA volume to strip tube (as likely much smaller volume), etc.
