# Troubleshooting "Initialization failed on Integrated Imaging Module" error on the NextSeq 1000/2000

Control software fails to initialize with error:

"Attention required:

1. An error occurred while starting the application. If the problem persists, contact Illumina Technical Support.
2. Initialization failed on Integrated Imaging Module. Power cycle the instrument per system guide instructions."
