# How to Enable Illumina Proactive on the NextSeq 1000/2000

To enable Illumina Proactive on the NextSeq 1000/2000:

1. Select the **Menu** button from the Home Screen of the control software.\

2. Select **Settings**.\

3. Under the Proactive Support menu, select one of the following three options:
   1. Proactive Support Only (available only in Local Run Setup)
   2. Proactive and Run Monitoring
   3. Proactive, Run Monitoring, and Storage\

4. Select **Save**.
