# Setting up a sample sheet to send all reads to Undetermined in MiSeq Reporter

In some situations, users may desire some or all samples to sort to the Undetermined FASTQ file(s).

To enable all reads to be classified as Undetermined when using MiSeq Reporter, create a sample sheet with a single placeholder sample, then, enter Ns in the index section of the appropriate length to sort all reads from the run to the Undetermined FASTQ (eg, for dual 8 bp indexes, enter NNNNNNNN for each index sequence). Specific samples' indexes can also be set as Ns of the appropriate length to sort those specific samples to the Undetermined FASTQ, while maintaining the actual index sequences for samples to be demultiplexed individually.
