# Troubleshooting Dry cartridge ID mismatch Warning on the MiSeq i100 Series

**Background**

When starting a run on MiSeq i100 Series instruments, the system verifies the Dry Cartridge Serial Number against the Sample Container ID that was entered during Run Setup in BaseSpace Run Planning.

If the Sample Container ID and the Dry Cartridge Serial Number do not match, the following warning will appear:

**"Dry Cartridge ID Mismatch**

Loaded dry cartridge ID \[Dry Cartridge Serial Number] does not match the dry cartridge ID \[Sample Container ID] for planned run \[Run Name].

You can select a different run, reload another dry cartridge, or continue with mismatch (not recommended)."

**Troubleshooting Actions**

To avoid this warning, leave the Sample Container ID field blank.

If a Sample Container ID is required, choose from the following options:

• Enter the Dry Cartridge Serial Number as the Sample Container ID, or

• Proceed past the warning by selecting **Continue with mismatch**.
